Pricing for Sellers

We offer two different ways to sell: Absolute Auction or Asking Price.  Sellers opting for the Absolute Auction method are agreeing to sell their item to the highest bidder, with no restriction on the minimum price.  Sellers who choose Asking Price are reserving the right not to sell, if bidding doesn’t rise to their desired dollar amount.   Asking Prices will be displayed on listings.  When an auction closes without reaching the Asking Price, the seller has two business days to decide whether to take the highest bid offered or end the auction with no sale.

Absolute Auctions: PentonEquipmentAuctions.com charges ZERO commission to sellers on all transactions.  We charge no consignment fees to sellers who choose to list their items without posting an asking price.

Asking Price: PentonEquipmentAuctions.com charges ZERO commission to sellers on all transactions.  For a flat $25 fee sellers may post an item with an asking price. This fee must be paid via Visa or MasterCard at the end of the consignment process.  All fees are nonrefundable.

Pricing for Buyers

Buyers will be charged a buyer's premium which, in most cases is between 5% and 10% of the final purchase price.   The exact buyer's premium is always displayed in the "Lot Terms" tab our listings.  The buyer's premium is also displayed in the bidding process before the bid is confirmed.
